Note- In Spanish days and months are not capitalized.
Trabajo para Entregar (Work Due): This is where I will write what will be checked. It is usually an assignment from the previous class and the previous night's homework. Students should be ready to show me the completed work and then translate the daily phrase and start the warm up activity.
La Frase del Día (Daily Phrase): ¡Hola clase! Bienvenidos a la clase de español.
(Translate this phrase each day. Translations are kept together on separate paper from other activities. You must write the phrase in both languages (Spanish and English). Write the date in Spanish for each phrase.)
Las Metas (The Objectives): We will become acquainted. Students will learn the class routine, discuss the syllabus, & explore my wiki page.

This is where you will see the class activities planned for a given day. This is also where you will read the directions to start the warm up activity.
1. Attendance in Spanish (Ser vs. Estar)
2. Learn the Class Procedures and Review the Daily Agenda
3. Discuss the syllabus and the Wiki Site

4. Complete the student questionnaire
5. ESCUELA presentation

La Tarea: (Homework) Finish the questionnaire and have your parents fill out the second page of the questionnaire (signature required). Check out the Wiki page there just might be an opportunity for extra creditHmmmmmm You have to go regularly to get the bonus points.

We will have a quiz on class rules and procedures (Syllabus) on Friday, September 11th.

La Frase del Día (Daily Phrase): La clase de español es interesante y divertida.
(You must write the phrase in both languages (Spanish and English). Write the date in Spanish for each phrase.

La Tarea: (Homework) Have the movie permission slip signed. Give your parents the welcome letter so they can begin getting your supplies. Make sure the grammar review worksheet has been completed.

MAKE A VOCABULARY LIST OF THE VOCABULARY YOU NEED TO KNOW ON THE DAILY AGENDA. DON'T WORRY JUST LOOK ABOVE AND COPY AND WRITE DOWN THE MEANINGS OF EACH CATEGORY OF THE AGENDA (Date, Work due, etc...). WRITE BOTH SPANISH AND ENGLISH!

La Frase del Día (Daily Phrase): ¿Te gusta practicar deportes?

Las Metas (The Objectives): Review Grammar and Vocabulary Topics from Grade 7 (Repaso Unit)/ Discuss Late Policies/ Distribute Books

La Agenda de Clase (The Class Agenda):

WARM UP: 1. Pick up a book slip and text book and fill it out. (Please cover your text book at home).
2. Begin the graphic organizer activity about yourself. Use the book. Go over the repaso sections to include more details to the graphic organizer.
3.Classwork: Use the brainstorming activity to draw a picture that reflects the information and write five complete sentences in Spanish about yourself, your family, school, and your friends. This must be done on a separate piece of computer paper. We are going to guess who you are so do not include your name on any part of the paper.

La Tarea: (Homework) No hay tarea. ¡Pasa un buen fin de semana!
